Bill managed to combine wit and affability both in his drawings and his commentary in such a way as one might think impossible in an era where sarcasm and cynicism are the standard. My heartfelt condolences to his loved ones.

Of special note to me personally was his realization of the idea I suggested for the 2010 CliqueClack Holiday Greeting (featuring the ghosts of Christmases Past, Present and Yet To Come) and doing so better than I ever could have imagined, complete with the eerie yet comical visages of Ignorance and Want in the folds of the ghost of Christmas Present’s robe, both of them engrossed in whatever they’re watching their TV set.

Condolences to Bill’s family and friends. He left a mark on me without even knowing he did so. He will be missed …
