Game of Thrones season three prize pack giveaway

If you’re anything like me, you were waiting this week’s DVD/BluRay release of ‘Game of Thrones’’ third season. If you haven’t yet picked up your copy, we’ve got an incredible giveaway for you.

Game of Thrones’ third seasons broke records and broke hearts … and fans experiencing the Red Wedding for the first time might have broken a couple of televisions with flying remote controls. It takes a little time for new fans of author George R. R. Martin’s series to truly understand exactly what A Song of Ice and Fire – and HBO’s adapted series – is all about. Ned Starks’ death in the first season may have been a signpost, but its only when the Rains of Castamere start playing at Edmure Tully’s wedding does it really hit home.

Earlier this week, HBO released the DVDs and Blu-Ray set of the third season, so many fans across the world are getting the opportunity to relive their “favorite” moments from last year, from the Bear and the Maiden Fair to both weddings. If you haven’t grabbed your copy yet, we’ve joined with HBO to offer you one heck of a package:

To enter, all you have to do is leave a comment on this post, telling us your favorite scene from last season. You only need to enter once, but make sure you get your comment in before Midnight (Eastern) next Tuesday, the 25th. 1. Favorite scene was Margaery holding the crossbow that Joffrey was showing off. I’m a huge fan of Natalie Dormer, and that scene shows off her range, from being frightened off Joffrey to figuring out how to survive/get him to like her

  2. I haven’t had a chance to watch last seasons episodes so I don’t have a favorite scene.

  3. Favorite scene would have to be when In the North, Jojen tells Bran they must go beyond the Wall to find the three-eyed raven, to Osha’s horror.

  4. Jamie’s confession to Brienne in the bath house where you discover that he is MUCH more than the bad guy he’s led everybody to believe. So surprising but the character development is welcome!

  5. Tyrion getting drunk at his wedding was pretty fantastic.

  6. My favorite scene is when Daenerys takes control of the Unsullied Army and then orders the dragon she traded for the army to burn Kraznys. That girl is BAD ASS

  7. The Red Wedding – definitely. Finally hearing The Rains of Castamere was something else.

  8. Favorite scene of last season: The Red Wedding. Oh, how the Internet burst with tears and various reactions on that day!

  9. I love the bathhouse scene with Jaime and Brienne. It really defines him as the new person he is, and I love his character depth so much!

  10. I thought Jamie’s bathtub scene was amazing. Still can’t believe Nikolaj Coster-Waldau didn’t get an Emmy nom for his work last season.

  11. My favorite scene was the wedding scene from last season. I also liked when Jon Snow climbed the wall.

  12. There were a lot of great scenes last season. But for me, hands down, the wedding scene was my favorite scene because it made the hairs on the back of my neck stand on end! Brutal!

  13. The Red Wedding, hands down. I hadn’t read any of the books and I had not talked about the series with friends who had so I was completely in the dark about what was going to happen.

In the words of a certain Five Guys burger review, “dayum, dayuuuum, DA’YUUUUUM”

  14. The Red Wedding was my favorite scene. I didn’t read the books yet so I was totally caught off guard and screaming when I saw it.

  15. My favorite scene from last season is Dany’s “trade” for the Unsullied that begins with a simple conversation and ends with the camera panning out on Dany’s first conquest with her new army.

  16. When poor Tywin is trying to get that cloak on Sansa, during their wedding , cuz that jerk, Joffery! awkward and embarrassing, sheesh!

  17. I would have to say my favorite was the Rains of Castamere. My favorite scene is when Catelyn emerges from underneath a table and pulls a knife to Frey’s wife’s neck, saying that if Robb is allowed to leave here unharmed, everything will be forgotten. She states that they can even take her as prisoner if they just let her son go. Frey shrugs, saying he can find a new wife, and Roose Bolton grabs Robb and stabs him in the gut, saying that the Lannisters send their regard which is the chilling last line Jaime said to Roose before heading off for King’s Landing. Catelyn then lets out a blood-curdling scream, slitting the young woman’s throat. A soldier appears behind her and slits her throat.

  18. Jamie’s confession to Brienne in the bath house where you discover that he is MUCH more than the bad guy he’s led everybody to believe

  19. The scene where Daenerys buys the Unsullied and sics Dracarys on the city of Astapor.

  20. when khaleesi takes over the unsullied army and has her dragon burn kraznys

  21. Seeing that Giant is what sticks out the most for me. It was unnerving.

  22. When Dany sacks Astapor and takes control of the Unsullied.

  23. “Dracarys!” and the entire scene leading up to that moment.

  24. For sure, the infamous Red Wedding, because I had NO IDEA what was about to happen. And, boy, was I floored!

  25. My favorite scene is Jamie’s conversation with Brienne in the bath. I was hanging on every word!

  26. Jaime Lannister getting his hand cut off. I knew George Martin was gutsy for an author when Ned Stark was killed, but I really never thought the shinning Lannister child would be made a cripple.

  27. My favorite scene is when Daenerys recalls her dragon after selling it to Kraznys. Bad. Ass.

  28. The Red Wedding was unforgettable! My mouth was hanging open the whole time, and I kept repeating….no way…..unbelievable (cleaned up version lol)

  29. My favorite scene in season three is during the episode “Kissed by Fire”. The amazing scene is with Jamie Lannister and Brienne of Tarth in the bath house. The scene opens up audiences to a man who was previously seen as a villain, which serves as the perfect example of three dimensional characters that inhabit Westeros and Essos . These three dimensional characters who are placed within a fantasy world of beyond creative imagination is what I love most about the show. This combination drives an excellent narrative in both the books and the show, making Game of Thrones a sensation in both literature and television.

  30. My favorite scene was with Dany at the end of episode 4 when she takes control of the unsullied. So badass. I’ve replayed that scene so many times.

    • Congrats! You are the winner. I’ll be emailing your shortly to get your contact information!

  31. When Tyrion, on his wedding night, revealed his true character by saying to Sansa – after a painful promise – the pledge of a man who takes the black: “And so my watch begins.”

  32. Haven’t seen the third season yet, so winning this awesome prize package will be right on time (do people still say “right on time?”).

  33. Well, I am going in a completely different direction…My favorite scene was definitely in the cave when Jon Snow showed Ygritte that he does know something.

  34. I loved the scene where Daenerys turns the tables on the slave trader and has her dragon kill him and ends up taking his entire army. It was so cool and really shows how much she has grown

  35. Summing up my favorite scene in 4 words:

    You speak Valerian?!

    Yup.

It’s a tough pick because the whole series is so great and so many scenes are winners. But I gotta go with the scene when the Mother of Dragons gets to show off her badassness. And it’s always satisfying when a jackass gets his due.

  36. When Jamie gets his hand cut off! More than even the red wedding the scene shocked me and made me jump and my skin crawl. It will always be etched in my brain!

  37. When Jojen Reed arrived and talked with the direwolf and calmed it down.

  38. I loved seeing Tyrion and Sansa joke about pulling pranks. It was a fun and sweat moment between them when all the rest of their lives are hell.

  39. need to catch up on missed epsidoes
