We want to play catch up here and remind of the TV on DVD releases that came out November 5th. As Mad Men prepares to wind down, you can catch up with the previous season, and if you missed CBS’ hit summer series Under the Dome, now is your opportunity to see the show that just might change the way networks think about summer programming and hour-long dramas overall. Fans of Duck Dynasty can spend the Christmas holidays with the gang, and Doctor Who fans can enjoy the last seven seasons in a gift set complete with a Sonic Screwdriver. Full series sets for Weeds, Absolutely Fabulous and Boy Meets World and more make for great holiday gifts, and fans of I Love Lucy can enjoy the rarely seen Christmas episode for the first time in color (along with two other colorized episodes). Purists will also be able to enjoy the episodes in their native black and white. And to get ready for the holidays, a collection of TV movies and family specials round out the list. If you didn’t think The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey was already too long, now you can own the extended director’s cut … but this one is only about 13 minutes longer, so it’s hard to see how much different the new version will be.
