FOX wants us to have hair as pretty as Glee’s Will Schuester’s

FOX is notorious for awesome press kits. If you follow CliqueClack on Twitter, then you know that Keith is now the proud owner of not only Dr. House’s “flaming” cane, but also a set of Animation Domination beer glasses (which look so, so tacky in our beautiful glass-front cabinets, but that’s a marital spat for another time….).

Their latest attempt to get us excited about watching Glee‘s premiere (as if we weren’t already psyched about that) is bottled up in a giant vat of blue hair gel. I think you get the idea from the picture — that’s the DVD with the premiere episode next to it. Would you go so far as to say lifetime supply of hair gel? I guess that depends on whether you use it like Keith or Will Schuester.

The tub itself is pretty clever too, as it’s covered with Sue Sylvester’s quotes about Will’s hair throughout the first season:

• “I don’t trust a man with curly hair. I can’t help but picture little birds laying sulfurous eggs in there, and it disgusts me.”
• You have enough product in your hair to season a wok.”
• Your hair looks like a briar patch. I keep expecting … animated … characters to pop up and start singing about living on the bayou.”
• “Oh, hey William. I thought I smelled cookies wafting from the ovens of the little elves who live in your hair.”
• “I just lost my train of thought because you have so much margarine in your hair.”

Just seeing those quotes reminds me about one of my favorite things Glee does — insults others with wild abandon. I don’t know if they can keep up the momentum of season one, but I’m sure going to tune in to watch them try.

Glee premieres next Tuesday, September 21 at 8:00. Will you be there with your hair gel on?
