I predict another May Sweeps spoiler, this time Bones

May sweeps means finales, weddings, births, breakups, hookups and ... well ... deaths, too. I take a look at the spoilers that have been making their way around the internet, and take some guesses.

Earlier this week, I took a look at several of the spoiled deaths predicted for this year’s May Sweeps period. Guessing the deaths on Glee, NCIS, and Castle proved hard enough, but why not take another shot? Since I’m covering Bones again for CliqueClack, I thought I’d explore the rumors and innuendo surrounding our favorite squints and FBI agents. Just as before, Spoiler Warnings are obviously still in effect.

Someone is going to die. Which, I guess, doesn’t mean that much on Bones because someone dies each week. But it has long been expected that the sniper that the team has been chasing off and on this season, Jacob Broadsky, might hit someone on the team or close to the team. I’ve also heard that, before that, a shot meant for Bones will take an innocent life. Heavy lies the head that wears the title of the show, huh?

But who might the known character that we lose? The most obvious guess in is one of the “squinterns.” They’re each familiar enough to fans that any of their deaths would have some impact. There are a couple, though, that would hurt just a little more. Plus, there’s another character that has been around for a long time that could also be at risk.

I always thought that Wendell Bray had a lot of cojones for sticking around the Jeffersonian after dating Angela. He’s also one of the most familiar interns in the group. Just last week, we saw more into his personal life than any of the others … save one. For a death to mean something to the audience, it has to be personal, and this would definitely hit close to home.

Daisy Wick is, obviously, the other intern that the audience is most close to. She and Sweets make such an oddly cute couple, it is hard not to root for them. However, we’ve not seen much of her this season, as she’s been a little busy working on another TV show. You want hurt? Imagine watching Sweets deal with the death of his fiancé next season. Ouch doesn’t begin to cover it.

The last obvious candidate is Caroline Julian. Your favorite cranky lawyer (and mine) has been around, off and on, since the first season. She is cantankerous, to be sure, but she so obviously has a heart of gold (well, maybe silver). Her hypothetical death would hit all of the regular characters hard, no more so than Booth, who has known her the longest. Plus, it gives the opportunity to introduce a new Federal prosecutor next season that has “problems” with how the team works and, boom, instant work drama (because, you know, the only reason a character gets killed off of a TV show is so that they can add a new one).

There a couple of other characters that might make some sense, like Max and Russ Brennan, but I stand by narrowing it down to just the three above.

So who is going to be Bones sacrificial lamb? My bet is on Daisy. I would hate to see Carla Gallo go, but putting Sweets through that type of pain would actually make for some good TV next season, and I think John Francis Daly would shine stretching those dramatic acting chops.

I was thinking about this, too, and I came up with the same possible victims as you. I think Caroline’s death would hit everyone the hardest, but I really, really like her character and would be very upset if they killed her off. However, Bones has never hesitated to remove loved characters…I still miss Zach.

Of course the previews show Nigel-Murray as the Squintern of the week, but that doesn’t mean another won’t make an appearance. I’m leaning toward Daisy myself as my preferred character to bite it. Not because I don’t like her (she’s OK). But, to me, her death would cause a high level of devastation amongst the group, but I don’t necessarily think I’d miss her much.

I think the victim will be either Vincent Nigel-Murray or Sweets. We know it’s not Max as he is in the finale – on a bowling team.

I actually already know who the victim is, and tbh I was a little disappointed. I was hoping it’d be someone who’d pack a little more of an emotional punch. Take that however you wish.

I know it won’t pack much punch, but since Ryan Cartwright is supposed to be one of the stars of Syfy’s new show “Alphas” I just figured he’d be the one to die. That’s my only reasoning for it.

Well I honestly thought it was going to be Vincent but last night at the Paley Center for Media, David said on a scale of 1 – 10, the shock value is close to a 10. It was also said this death will have a domino affect that will go into next season. Now I’m wondering if it is Sweets or maybe even Cam. Is it Thursday yet?
