So I hear Death will be making an appearance on Glee …

It doesn't take an Act of God to get me to watch a program like 'Glee' ... just something interesting like, say, a character death.

Remember back in June last year when I gave Glee the ‘ole college try? Not only did I come out no worse for wear (relatively speaking), but I even mentioned I’d be willing to give it a visit every once in a blue moon.

Well, guess what? I think there’s a big, blue one coming down the tracks. It will arrive in the form of someone biting the dust on the show. That pricked up my ears right there. I asked myself: “Self, doesn’t a television character death, especially one on such a popular program as Glee, sound a bit intriguing?” (Note: No … I didn’t get an answer back. Don’t know if that’s a sign or not.)

And here’s the thing: I’m not even craving cheese (I indicated the occasional need for cheese might be a factor as to why I might return to Glee down the line. See that “college try” link above.). Instead, I’m of the mind it’s just some sort of strange, bereave-ish cessation of a (possibly) popular television character and the aftermath thereof that’s the attractant for me. I must admit: I’m curious as to how it will all play out. There must be some place I can visit that will give me a reasonably quick lowdown on what’s been happening on the show since last I visited … say, CliqueClack’s own reviews courtesy of Chuck Duncan perhaps?

But don’t ask me my thoughts on who it might be. (Supposedly it’s someone involved with regionals.) After all, I only have the most rudimentary inkling of the characters and situations on the show. I hear bits and pieces of rumor and plot line and they stick like gum on the bottom of my shoe … and that, dear reader, is the extent of my Glee familiarity. (Boy … am I going to get a helping heaping of crap for that analogy …)

But I will say this: if the character whose number is coming up happens to be Principal Figgins, I’m going to be upset. I like that dude …

Everything I’ve been reading points to a female character dying (Matthew Morrison also allegedly also said it was a female character in some interview). No one from glee, not Sue, not Emma. Not even Terri (drat!). There are three candidates – Sue’s sister, Becky or April Rhodes. BTW, the link you referenced about Regionals is from February and was probably about Pavarotti, the Warblers’ bird mascot (which would explain why the Warblers didn’t win the competition). This death will take place before Nationals and is rumored to affect a relationship in some way, which makes it seem more like April is the casualty (especially since she went to NYC and Nationals are in NYC too). But casting rumors have also mentioned role’s for Becky’s mother and a priest, so it could be Becky or Sue’s sister. Of course, it could all be misdirection and Figgins could bite the dust. Then Sue could be principal again! Or it could be my original guess – Karofsky, who either can’t deal with his secret or is outed publicly and can’t deal with the humiliation. Maybe this week’s episode will give us a clue.

You mirrored my thoughts precisely. It’s like we eat breakfast together …
