We put Six Feet Under week to rest

'Six Feet Under' week has come to an end here at CliqueClack, and we pause to remember the week that was.

It’s been a great week here at CliqueClack as we celebrated the amazing drama that was HBO’s Six Feet Under. The writers here all enjoyed delving back into the world of Fisher and Sons funeral home, reconnecting with all the beautifully dysfunctional members of the family.

I kicked off the week, looking back at my Six Feet Under virgin diary of the show, reflecting on my thoughts as I went through the series for the first time several years back.
I took a deeper look into the four Fishers that were the backbone of Six Feet Under, with all their flaws and delightful idiosyncrasies. I still think they rank as some of the best characters to grace the small screen.
Michael compiled some of the best quotes from the series. On a show as well written as Six Feet Under, that’s no small task.
Meredith reviewed every episode opening death on the series and compiled a list of some of the most notable while reflecting on the unique way Six Feet Under introduced each installment.
Rachel had a fun article about all of the lovers in Ruth Fisher’s life. As unlikely as it seems, she probably got more play in the series than anyone else.
Meredith took a close look at the mothers on the show and their drastically diverging style of parenting (along with some of the results).
Debbie and I discussed Michael C. Hall and tried to compare his performance in Six Feet Under with his current role on Dexter.
Kona talked about giving shows at least three episodes before writing them off, and how it really paid off in the case of Six Feet Under.
Rachel pondered one of the burning, unanswered questions from the series: Why was Maya completely silent?
Michael ended the week with a great look back at the finale. I dare you to watch the final 8 minutes on youtube and not cry. I’m not sure it can be done.
