My Community Christmas carol

It wouldn't be Christmas around the CliqueClack offices without our parody carols. Here's my humble submission for 2011.

Last year for Christmas, we posted some carol parodies including what might be the most brilliant thing I have ever written — a Mad Men parody set to the melody of “Frosty the Snowman.” “Draper the Ad Man” would be pretty hard to top. Luckily, NBC has caused me some major heartbreak with their early 2012 schedule and with heartache comes inspiration. I wish I could have gotten this published before the Community flash mob in front of Rockefeller Center this week, but perhaps my fellow Community fans will be able to use my Community carol to celebrate the holidays this weekend.

Community (to the melody of O Tannenbaum)
By: Katie Schenkel

Community, Community
I’ll miss you most this winter
Community, Community
I’ll miss you most this winter

You guys fight zombies, bake and sing
Troy and Abed in the morning

Community, Community
I’ll miss you most this winter

Dean Pelton will get his drag on,
Look out, Inspector, a blorgon!

Community, Community
I’ll miss you most this winter

When you come back, things will be fine
For now this is the dark timeline

Community, Community
I’ll miss you most this winter

Thanks again to Dan Harmon and the whole cast and crew of Community for bringing us one of the best shows on TV … we’ll see you in the spring.

I think you’ll understand when I say your carol made me happy and sad at the same time. Why can’t we have more “Community” for the new year? Argh!
