No surprise on the networks as ‘America’s Got Talent’ takes over as the number one show for the summer. But there was a huge surprise on cable where History’s ‘Hatfields & McCoys’ topped everything else on television.
A full week includes releases for ‘Breaking Bad’, ‘Falling Skies’, ‘Burn Notice’, ‘In Plain Sight’, ‘Pretty Little Liars’, ‘White Collar’, ‘Fairly Legal’, ‘Workaholics’, ‘Necessary Roughness’, ‘Heartland’, ‘Arn’, ‘Twilight Zone’, ‘G.I. Joe’, ‘Thundercats’, ‘Phineas and Ferb’, and more.
Finale week wasn’t exactly great for some of the older reality shows. ‘Idol’, ‘Dancing WIth The Stars’, and ‘Celebrity Apprentice’ were all up. But they were all at series low levels for their finales.
May 29th brings new releases for ‘True Blood’, ‘Rookie Blue’, ‘Royal Pains’, ‘Drop Dead Diva’, ‘Maverick’, ‘Wing Commander Academy’, ‘Monroe’, ‘Guido Brunetti’, ‘Murdoch Mysteries’, ‘Die Heimliche Ehe’, ‘Shiki’, and ‘Black Cat’.
A week full of finales brought good news for some (‘Once Upon A Time’, ‘How I Met Your Mother’, ‘Grey’s Anatomy’, ‘NCIS’), and not so good news for others (‘Suburgatory’, ’30 Rock’, ‘Community’, ‘Touch’).
This week includes releases for ‘Rizzoli & Isles’, ‘Teen Wolf’, ‘Sherlock’, ‘My Babysitter’s A Vampire’, ‘The River’, ‘Survivor’, ‘Route 66′, ‘S.W.A.T.’, ‘Dean Martin’, ‘Dragon Ball Z Kai’, ‘Ghost Hunters International’, and ‘Adventures Of Zelda’.
As upfront week hits, almost all of the renewals and cancellations have been announced. This week we run through which shows will be returning, and which will be readying those complete series DVD sets.
