Suggestion for future versions (or this one, if you want to amend) – it would be great if, especially for new shows (but preferably for all) you could click on the show title and link to a short description of the show, either here at cliqueclack or elsewhere (IMDB?).

After the so-so pilot, the show has really developed with some good storytelling and some real laugh-out-loud moments, mostly courtesy of Ian Patrick who plays the youngest alien child, Dick Butkus. He’s got some great comic delivery, and he’s become one of my two favorite kids on TV right now (Bebe Wood from The New Normal is also excellent). It’s nice to see the typical wiser-than-their-years children be smart and funny instead of precocious and annoying. The Neighbors has really grown on me, so I hope they can keep up the “fish out of water” storytelling without getting repetitive. They’ve already covered Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, sex and death over the course of ten episodes, so I hope they have more “human foibles” left for the aliens to understand. And I hope people give the show a shot (there will be a four-episode marathon on The Disney Channel Dec. 28th).
