As a heterosexual man watching the episode, I can safely say Daario did light up the screen. Maybe I liked him so much because I am trying to be the safe type of guy – not a loudmouth, but a charismatic one. I loved his lines, especially the ones about how he loves women, but refusing to pay for them.

I can’t wait for season 4 and I hope he will play major part in this part of the story! I haven’t read the book yet – I have watched the whole series in 10 days, haha, and I am planning to buy the pages as soon as possible – but I really hope my other favorite, Jaqen H’ghar will be back in the next seasons in the form of his latest persona.

Dany makes it pretty clear that she does not like loud, boastful men by her clear disgust with Mero, who is exactly that type. The actor playing Daario did a terrific job of portraying Daario as a very strong, masculine and charismatic- a very self-confident man who doesn’t need to be the loudest person in the room to make a lasting impression on every woman he meets. He’s hot stuff, he knows it, but he’s not obnoxious about it, which is why a woman would be so drawn to him.
Perhaps from a male standpoint he seemed overshadowed by his comrades, but it’s pretty clear that the looks Daario was throwing Dany were having an effect on her.
