I loved the hell out of this movie — much more so than I expected, probably because the film wasn’t what I expected it to be.

It’s not like we were supposed to like what old Joe did in that particular scene — or anything following for that matter.

But I did appreciate how Old Joe had one answer to the age old Sci-Fi question (Do the needs of the many outweigh the needs of the few) while New Joe found a way to have the same answer with decidedly different results.

Had the complete opposite reaction. Joe (Young and Old) are setup as deeply flawed characters who are quite simply not nice people at all and old Joe’s motives for carrying out his terrible ‘mission’ I felt were handled quite well.
