They taste as close to the real thing as you can get with instant and the PSL is new and tastes like the real deal. The iced VIAs are also very, very good!

I smiled at your reference to the Thurs evening anticipation of Friday and the start of the weekend – I do the same! I am a die-hard Starbucks PSL fan and have grown more ravenous as the years moved forward. I used to casually pick up a PSL sometime around the mid-October time frame, but now literally count down the days to its release. Most folks don’t know that the PSL is often available many months after the official close of the Autumn season (usually into Jan/Feb and sometimes March). They keep selling the stuff until their mix and syrup run out.

I am huge fan of pumpkin beer as well and recommend Schlafly Pumpkin Ale, which I just discovered this year, although I am a fan of some of the others you mentioned.

I also regularly gross out folks by drinking Maine Root Pumpkin Pie Soda, which my local Wegman’s carries around this time of year. It is a natural soda with a wonderful sweet spice and pumpkin flavor – so delicious! Drink it as a treat instead of a piece of cake or pie.
