CliqueClack has partnered with IFC Films and Allied Integrated Marketing to offer readers in the Washington, DC area passes to an advance screening of the new film The Punk Singer. Kathleen Hanna, lead singer of the punk band Bikini Kill and dance-punk trio Le Tigre, rose to national attention as the reluctant but never shy voice of the riot grrrl movement. She became one of the most famously outspoken feminist icons, a cultural lightning rod. Her critics wished she would just shut-up, and her fans hoped she never would. So in 2005, when Hanna stopped shouting, many wondered why. Through 20 years of archival footage and intimate interviews with Hanna, The Punk Singer takes viewers on a fascinating tour of contemporary music and offers a never-before-seen view into the life of this fearless leader.

The screening will take place on Wednesday, December 11, 7:30 PM at the Landmark E Street Cinema. 30 Admit Two passes are available on a first-come, first-served basis. Simply leave a comment below with your name and correct email address, and we will send you a pass. Please make sure to set your spam filters to accept email from @cliqueclack.com. Please note that passes do not guarantee seats. Please plan to arrive early. CliqueClack has no control over the total number of passes distributed, nor is responsible for seating arrangements at the theater.
