I liked the relationship last year, but I think he has gone too far this year. Don’t get me wrong, I am still loving Scandal but I find that I no longer “ship” Fitz and Olivia. I was hoping she would get together with David (Joshua Malina’s character). But the last scene of the last episode showed that Olivia has some unlikely bedfellows. And I am liking Abby and David.

What you are missing is that Fitz and Olivia love each other. They fell in love during his presidential campaign, not last season. After he won they stopped their affair, but the feelings are still there. His reaction in the woods was over the top, but it was from passion and anger that they couldn’t be together.

Don’t forget, he was the one that was willing to give up the presidency and everything last season to be with Olivia. But, Olivia was convinced to give him back to Mellie even though it pained her to do it.

Both Olivia and Fitz have gone out of their way to see each other and they both enjoyed the evening calls. The judge warned Olivia that her actions towards Fitz was going to push him away and asked if she was ready for that. And, then it happened and she wasn’t. When he said that they were done, she responded “What?” and it was with such heartbreak.

Fitz and Olivia have both been in this relationship. It’s not a healthy relationship for either of them, but they can’t seem to let each other go. Will this break hold? I doubt it. When Fitz gets back from the G8, we’ll see what happens.

But, to say that Fitz is a stalker … that’s so far off. And, a wuss? He’s the one that was going to give it all up for Olivia, that’s no wuss.
