Not only was the Gorn savage-looking, spiky, and angular (like an Alien Xenomorph), it held a large phaser rifle with no strap, meaning it had no way to sling or holster its weapon to use both hands. Contrast that with the slow, extremely intelligent Gorn in “Arena” that wore a full uniform with belt and arm bracers.
