With Election Day falling on new release Tuesday, the studios have backed off of releasing many new or current shows on home video this week. But they are helping us get ready for the holidays with a complete box set of the HBO series Entourage, and several holiday themed TV shows and specials, including classics from the likes of Carol Burnett and Dean Martin. November 6th is a big day … The Amazing Spider-Man arrives on home video in many different formats (is something else happening that day?). You can own the film on DVD, Blu-ray, 3D Blu-ray, Digital Download … the possibilities seem endless! If you’re not into the re-boot of the webslinger’s adventures, there are some smaller films coming out that may have skipped past your local cineplex, like Your Sister’s Sister (starring Emily Blunt) and Fire with Fire (with Bruce Willis). Some great older movies are getting new Blu-ray releases this week, including Sunset Boulevard, Guys and Dolls, Beaches, the cult classic They Live, and one of the best versions of the classic Dickens holiday tale, The Muppet Christmas Carol.
