I don’t usually reveal spoilers in my movie reviews. This was maybe the only time … just had a really strong emotional connection to the characters. Won’t do it to you next time!

I’ve never read or heard of the book but I had heard and was looking forward to the movie. The penultimate paragragh though suggested too much for me.

In fairness, I feel a bit like the movie might be less interesting for me now, than the book, from what you’ve said. And that’s interesting. However, while I know that people could say ‘hey, cancer can be a deadly thing’ the story could have ended a multitude of different ways not involving the end you hinted at before you stopped to say “spoilers”. It’s a shame going forward now, especially since this was the first place I really stopped to read something on the movie.

Everything else was well-written and interesting and worth the read. So my thank you for such a well done article is also mixed with me asking you to please… please, be more careful of that in future. I can’t keep reading you if you’re gonna kill part of the surprise of the story for me. :(
