I would have happily watched a whole film about them and just enjoyed the romantic fantasy. Nonetheless I think the film is worth a watch just for the beautiful filming and romance.

But I did love that line of yours and it was a bit of a mess. I had to rewatch some of it before I wrote the review because I thought I had forgotten some plot points of how Peter was getting from one place to another but, no, I didn’t miss them, they just weren’t there. Apparently Scorsese was approached to direct a version of the film back in 2002 and called it “unfilmable” … and he was right!
