What’s up, Greek?

Greek's Max, Casey, and Cappie

Season number … uh, I mean chapter … um, okay, the next installment of Greek is coming to a television set near us on Monday! Of course, you known that, having followed along with my coverage of Make It or Break It these last few months — although, I hear rumors that that was more panned then my coverage of The Tudors (subliminal message: click on the link and read it now!)….

Nevertheless, Greek’s here, and in honor of that event, I will be reviewing the Chapter 3 DVD in the next few days. But, before we prepare for the new season with a recap of the last one, I thought it might be fun to do some speculating.

I’m NOT talking about spoilers here; I have none. No, what follows are a baker’s dozen (all I could think of) of my own predictions (in no particular order) about what Greek may (or likely may not) have in store for us come next week. Feel free to add in some of your own when I’m done.

  1. Casey and Cappie won’t, then will, then won’t once more. That’s right … the Brandon/Dylan and Kelly of our generation will continue their saga, likely to only be determined on graduation day. At least it’s more fun than “I choose me.”
  2. Jordan will die in a murder/suicide thingy that somehow does not involve one of those two things happening to Rusty. I told you this was just my own speculation.
  3. Andy will realize how misguided he was, and come back to Rusty and to the KTs.
  4. Calvin will go into deep gay therapy with Dale, and they’ll spend the entire season trying to purge his demons. Then, when Calvin’s no longer single, he’ll drop the treatment, because it was really only something for him to do on Friday nights.
  5. Dale will lose his virginity, and his purity pledge ring. You heard it here first.
  6. Frannie (and Max) will never be heard from again.
  7. Evan will pine. For Casey.
  8. Rusty, Calvin, and Dale (now roommates) will go on an awesome road trip.
  9. Beaver will learn to spell.
  10. Dale will be in more than 50% of the season’s episodes.
  11. Ashleigh will resign the ZBZ presidency, and go back to being fun to watch.
  12. As busy as he is (see above), Rusty will spend a ton of time with Cappie, and they will rule KT, and the show, once more.
  13. Evan and Cappie will out their re-relationship.

Anyone think I can bat over .500?

There is a difference between speculation and wishful thinking. :-p

I think Andy, Frannie and Max are pretty much gone for good. Calvin isn’t single now, he is with his room mate.

I think you might reach .500, if you are really lucky. :-p

Well, yes, of course … But if we all wish hard enough, she might spontaneously combust….

Andy’s definitely dead, but I wonder if Max and/or Frannie won’t drift back in, even just because they were both in the finale, and the premiere is called “The Next Day,” or something along those lines.

Did Calvin and his roommate get together, or just hook up? How great was Dale as his beard?

:-)

Olivia Munn is guest staring!!! yay!!!

She’s way too hot for this, but maybe she’ll be the death of Rusty and Jordan? And then be the other half of Jordan’s murder/suicide….

Can you give us a warning the week before Olivia Munn’s appearance so I will know to actually watch this show? :)

Rusty, Calvin, and Dale (now roommates) will go on an awesome road trip.

Wasn’t this called Sex Drive?

What I’ve seen is that she will be a recurring character this season, starting with tonight. Don’t yell at me if she’s not actually in tonight’s episode, but IMDb has her credited, so….

“Wasn’t this called Sex Drive?”

I’ll let you know once I’ve seen it. ;)

Great predictions, but as for #7, are you kidding?! Evan and Rebecca are getting together in chapter 5! The Evan pining for Casey thing is long over by now.

Thanks!

I fear you may be right, but I’m hoping against hope that Rebecca and Evan don’t get together. I can’t stand her, and a relationship will only give her more screen time. But, it would butt newly reconnected Evan and Cappie against one another again.

I do, however, maintain that Evan has been, and will continue to pine for Casey. The same way that Cappie has all of these years, even while dating Rebecca. Love is love.

Yes i agree totally with you : i don’t want a Evan/Rebecca pairing !! As friends why not, they interact well. But a hook up would be so cliche and we have already one girl between the two boys, no need another one thank you.
I flove Cappie and Evan and i like the futur friendship triangle with Casey.
I can be entertained by Rebecca without them.

I’ve been enjoying Evan, too, but I think the writers continue to struggle with finding something for him to do. He keeps going missing every other week….
