I was able to catch up on the first season of the BBC supernatural drama Being Human sometime last year. It took a little getting used to, but once that first season ride was complete, I was glad I took the time to see the whole thing through. Season two of Being Human makes its US debut on BBCA this Saturday, July 24th. To celebrate that, we’re giving away three copies of the first season of Being Human on Blu-ray disc to three lucky, random commenters to this post. Prizing is provided courtesy of BBC.

I like watching tv.
I would love to have a chance to revisit the first season of this show because, having already seen Season 2, I was extremely surprised by how dark and unfunny it was. It was still very entertaining, but had a completely different tone than I was expecting based on my recollection of the first season.
Maybe it was my fading memory, but I recalled the first season as being much more lighthearted with its stories, similar to Eureka. Seeing Season 1 again after seeing Season 2 should be a much different experience than the first time I watched it.

It was an interesting look at Modern day monsters of sort. A good story the cries out to be seen again. I hope the 2nd season is as good….

Me please! I loved season one, am anxiously awaiting season two on Saturday. I wish FiOS carried BBCA in HD, so the Blu-Ray would be my first chance to see it in HD.

I was a good program but then most BBC shows seem to be.
I have never seen this show but have several friends who like it.

I’d like to win this because I love shows involving vampires and werewolves and also really enjoy t.v. shows from the U.K.
Because British sci-fi is usually wonderfully campy ridiculous spoofy stuff like Dr. Who. This show is completely different and far superior to anything we crank out over here.
It was really well done. It was amazingly funny when appropriate and completely serious and dramatic when it needed to be.

I really loved watching the first season last summer, it was the show I would drop everything to watch, make sure I was free! I love British shows, and the characters are just absolutely amazing! Annie, the ghost, is my favorite, she’s so cute and her tale so sad!

BBC produces some of the very best science fiction shows. I am a huge fan of Doctor Who and Torchwood and would love to see Being Human. But not having cable, I have to watch them on DVD. Thank you for the great give-away.
