Firefly: Still Flying book, signed by Jane Espenson – CliqueClack Giveaway

Even if you've already picked this book up, chances are you might want to take a chance to win this copy, as it's signed by none other than contributing writer Jane Espenson!

While I was attending the San Diego Comic-Con this year, I made a point of visiting the signing booth for Jane Espenson. If you don’t know who Jane is, first of all, shame on you. She’s credited with writing for some of my (and many, many others’) favorite shows, including Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Firefly, Warehouse 13, Battlestar Galactica, Dollhouse, and Caprica, to name a few. She’s also known for being quite accessible to fans, including us here at CliqueClack, where she’s answered questions for us on a few occasions. So, I wanted to at least stop by to say hello and thanks.

While there, I remembered that I just so happened to be carrying a copy of the new Firefly companion book, Firefly: Still Flying – A Celebration Of Joss Whedon’s Acclaimed TV Series. It’s really a beautiful book, filled with behind-the-scenes photos and new stories and notes about the production of Firefly, including one story written by Ms. Espenson. So, rather than give that book away here as-is, I had Jane sign it for one of you lucky commenters to this post!

To enter, simply leave a comment below and tell us your favorite show that Jane Espenson contributed to.  Entries to this giveaway must be made by Monday, August 9th at 5 PM ET. We’ll pick one comment completely at random and alert the person picked in the following weeks (make sure your spam filter allows @cliqueclack.com addressed email!) Only one entry per person and you must have a valid U.S.-based mailing address. Not following these guidelines voids your entry. Good luck!

(You can track some of our most recent giveaway results on its dedicated page.)

Oh, Firefly, without a doubt, although I’m dearly fond of Dollhouse too.

Firefly by a mile.

I’m a big fan of all her shows, but Firefly is my favorite!

Firefly is by far my fav. I’d love to have this book!

Favorite? Definitely Firefly. I’ve watched it so much that I actually wore out one of the dvds and had to replace the set.

Firefly is my hands down favorite with Dollhouse and Warehouse 13 coming in 2nd and 3rd respectively… =0)

Her Star Trek: Deep Space Nine episode was quite good and I enjoyed the whole show quite a bit.

I think she wrote and episode of Battlestar Galactica where Saul and Adama where going over reports from the fleet and listing all the shortages they have. Adama askes if they’re still eating paper on one of the ships and Saul say “No, paper shortage” and they just start laughing. I thought that was a great scene.

I came to Firefly late, but love it. Warehouse 13 is a current addiction, though…

Firefly and BSG, naturally.

August 3, 2010 at 2:17 PM

It’s hard to choose, but I guess I’ll say Firefly followed by BSG and Dollhouse. So sad that none of these are still on the air… :(

August 3, 2010 at 3:00 PM

I’ll have to go with the majority and say “Firefly” by a country mile!

August 5, 2010 at 12:19 PM

A great resume, for sure… but “Firefly” is my favorite. =)

August 6, 2010 at 11:48 AM

I can’t believe no one else loved her work on Buffy.

August 6, 2010 at 11:19 PM

Firefly is DEFINITELY my favorite that she worked on!!

August 9, 2010 at 11:11 AM

Tough question. Firefly and Buffy are going to have to be my first choices. However, her hand in Dollhouse and the ever-inspiring Warehouse 13 are very close runner-ups.

August 9, 2010 at 11:17 AM

Either Firefly or BSG. Really hard to choose between them.

Gilmore Girls! Firefly is a very close second, though.
