I think that it would be awesome to ride up the Dalton once. I wonder why Hugh isn’t doing this coming season though? Seems like something he’d want to do.
I realize that these reality shows are creatively edited; but in the last season Hugh came off as a reckless, untrustworthy, lying SOB. Either he really was that bad, or the producers wanted to make him appear so. When selecting who to use on the new show, is it any wonder they selected the ones the producers considered to be more honest and less dangerous for everyone concerned?
I’ve only seen one episode and was amazed at the difficulty involved. It would be too scary and way too cold for me to even consider something like that.
We love Lisa, she is one tough cookie.
I think as the seasons have gone on, it has lost its’ reality a bit. There is too much empahsis on creating drama. This show can stand by itself without that inflated sense of drama.

We love the suspense and adventure of IRT! It would be great to have the DVDs so we could watch our favorite episodes whenever we want to.

After being a driver myself for 13 1/2 years and knowing what the road can bring, seeing this show and the newer version of late I can only imagine the possibilites now. And as someone else mentioned, I DO hope they are paid well!

i enjoy this show i think Alex and Lisa are the best i will miss Alex this season but do understand why he left- and was not happy to see Rick back he is such a whiner and reckless

I like this show just because of the learning value it has. It’s very interesting and not a job you would think to document, which is why it’s so great to watch.
Cant believe the risk the drivers do!
No one can keep you on the edge of your seat like these drivers. I’ve driven a truck years ago and loved it. I can understand why they love doing what they do. But the risk they take in India is insane.But what an experience. They will certainly be ready for the ice roads when the start up again.

I had no idea that there was even a job like the one that the Ice Road Truckers Do! In our house, we’re fascinated by the risks that they take…never a boring day at work for these people!
Its crazy that they take such risks for their paycheck. But I bet the people at the end of their routes are real happy when they see those trucks pull up with new supplies. Its not like you can pop across the street to 7-11 way up there.

I just assumed when I heard of this show that it would be somewhat boring. Recently, though, I watched a trailer and changed my mind. Ice Road Truckers looks pretty interesting.

Everytime I watch this show I am amazed at the weather conditions the truckers travel in.
I’ve never seen the series but have heard great things about it and would love to view it.
This is one of the most interesting reality shows of all time. I love it!

I really enjoy the show and the different personalities. The demands placed on the trucks and the drivers in that environment is no joke. They certainly have my respect.
MY HUSBAND JUST STARTED TRUCKING WITH MY DAD…I AM SO PROUD OF HIM, HE HAS BEEN WAITING FOR THIS FOR A LONG TIME.
He has been waiting for 10 years to provide for his family and is now able to do so now.
