Skating with the Stars – The most unlikely

Come on.

We knew it was coming. I knew it was coming. And I know you knew it was coming.

“It,” of course, was the ousting of Bethenny Frankel and her “I’m here for me” attitude we all expected on this evening’s broadcast of Skating With The Stars.

Everyone, each and every one of us (and that goes double for me behind the keyboard) had come to the realistic conclusion Bethenny was toast. Who in their right mind actually believed she could have made it to the the finals for a skate-off with either Rebecca Budig or Jonny Moseley … ???

Well … guess what:  SHE FREAKIN’ MADE IT … !!! She beat the odds! She took that cocky ‘underdog’ mien she’s been flaunting for the last few weeks and shoved it right at us … and right into the finals. Truth be told, I’m still nursing the bottom of my jaw from it thudding hard against the floor at the announcement. She freakin’ made it … !!!

Her freestyle routine was for crap. She was again given the bottom-rung honor of the night by the judges. I mean, even Dick Button reprimanded her saying “It’s not ‘Stepping With The Stars’ … it’s ‘Skating With The Stars’ …” during the judges comments. So, what the hell happened?!? How? Was it sympathy for her stutter-step routines? Did the voting public get just as teary-eyed as she did every night? Was it her attitude that won them over? How ’bout her “Who’s to say I don’t win on attitude and soul?” admission ..???

I’m confuzzled. Beats me. I just don’t know what to say.

But I’m going to put my butt on the line and stand by this:

There’s no possible way Bethenny Frankel is going to win SWTS against Rebecca Budig.

And that’s all there is to it.
