TV on DVD – Beaver, MIT, and a lot of minis

A slim list of offerings this week includes 'Leave It To Beaver', 'Murder Investigation Team', 'ReBoot', 'Pioneers Of Television', 'Noah's Castle', 'Dickens In America', 'If Tomorrow Comes', 'Napoleon & Love', and 'Robert Kennedy'.

Good grief. It may be sweeps on the television, but there’s nothing exciting happening at your local DVD emporium. Season six of Leave It To Beaver is the big release this week. Really, the only thing I would put ahead of it is Murder Investigation Team. And that’s mostly because while I have seen every episode of Leave It To Beaver, MIT is new to me. Given that, and the fact that a big chunk of the rest of the list is made up of minis, I’m going off the board for the pick of the week. Might I suggest a movie? Amazon is currently shipping me Hollywood Kills. I can’t promise you that it’s any good, but I can tell you that I saw one of the actresses from the movie in a play called Mother In Another Language over the weekend, and the play was outstanding. So, we’ve got that going for us, which is nice.
