A slew of us are hoping it’s anything but an ordinary fate for No Ordinary Family

Cliffhangers! Getcher cliffhangers here! Bonus teeth gnashing, hair pulling and shouting curses heavenward - no extra charge! That's what we're left with in the season ender (series ender?) of 'NOF'.

Was that the series finale? The end of our heroes? Are The Powells fated to the red tape of the U. S. Government who now needs their help?

(Tell me: How did the government find out about The Powell’s anyway? Because it wasn’t evident in the episode …)

Or is No Ordinary Family simply ending on a hanging premise with a super-baby, a (possibly) super George, a host of new criminals with unknown abilities and Mrs. X now in the dastardly villainess role Dr. Dayton King no longer possesses? (Hello! He’s dead, you know!)

It certainly seems that way. But there’s enough for us to ponder while we wait for a definitive answer as to the ultimate fate of the show. We’ll find out for sure come May.

But what answer will that be? The End? A by-the-skin-of-its-teeth second chance? Mayhap another network picks up the NOF fragments and runs with them?

This may have been a pieced together ending to the season (and it did show its flaws at parts) but it was action-packed, revealing and exciting. Who would have thought trilsettum was keeping King’s cancer at bay? I certainly didn’t know the heretofore Victoria Morrow would turn out to be such a weenie girl. Is Joshua actually King’s son … not just figuratively speaking as we’ve been led to believe for quite some time now?

Katie’s baby is born premature and lifeless at the end of the episode … but you didn’t really believe a fresh, “super-juiced” newborn seemingly possessing powers aplenty was going to stay down, did you? And the urgency of the situation sure aided Joshua in being accepted right back into the fold, eh? Lucky him.

Best of all: What a complete asshat King turned out to be! Talk about your obsessions knowing no bounds, trying to off Jim by shooting him point blank and attempting to snag Stephanie for his every ownsome in plain view of everyone! Whatta skunk!

Let me state it right here and now: If No Ordinary Family defies the odds and comes back, you haven’t seen the last of Dr. King. Not by a long shot. You can’t keep a good villain down.

I want more No Ordinary Family. A lot of us do. Overall, it’s been a fun ride … and it will be disappointing if it ends right here.

The fact of the matter, however, is … that just might be the case.

It was SUCH a great show!!! I hope by the slimmest chance that there will be a second season that it’s just as great as it was the first season. ABC is nuts to cancel it and keep it on a night that has too much competition. We’re not talking competition with a new show on another network, we’re talking about competition with already established shows that already has loyal fans. ABC just needed to switch the night it was on. Even still, why disappoint the millions of viewers it already has!!!
