Big Brother – Eviction, HOH, and a new twist?

Another House Guest is evicted, a new HOH is crowned, and 'Big Brother' has a new twist that could completely change the game.

- Season 14, Episode 7

JoJo and Danielle on the block

After Willie’s meltdown and removal from Big Brother (and if you haven’t heard yet, TMZ reports that he was arrested recently for trying to drive while intoxicated), and the compacted nomination/Power of Veto episode, this week’s live edition didn’t have much drama. The biggest surprise was the new showmance between Shane and JoJo. He certainly moved on from Danielle pretty quickly. I thought maybe they were just playing with Ian’s head in the Have Not room, but it seemed to be real, so I guess my idea that he could team up with Danielle if she stayed in the house may have been a bit off base. And since she is staying in the house (JoJo’s big mouth apparently got her evicted), it will be interesting to see if Dan actually has lit a fire under her ass. Of course, she may be forced to work with Shane now as he’s the new HOH. It will be interesting to see if Shane’s promises to Frank and Boogie hold true, and if so does that mean Danielle is on the block again next week? The only problem now is that if Shane is aligned with Boogie’s team which is aligned with Janelle’s team, who else goes on the block? Will Britney influence Shane’s nominations, and who would they go after? Wil, Ashley, and Ian seem to be targets as well, so we could see any of them on the block.

And what does the future hold for the game? It seems Britney’s premonition just may come true (and then everyone is going to feel just awful for ganging up on poor Willie for relaying that thought to them). It’s America’s Vote this week — should the coaches be brought into the game to play for $500,000? If this happens (and I’m sure it will), everyone is going to be kicking themselves for not taking Dan out this week. If the coaches do become regular House Guests, will they keep their alliances or will they stick together as the veterans? The House Guests are going to be sorry for not heeding Willie’s words when he advised them to start playing their own games and making their own alliances against the coaches. It could now be their only chance for survival against the vets.

What else happened in the house tonight?

  • It’s now Day 20 for the House Guests.
  • Dan had to explain his coaching methodology to Danielle because she still didn’t get it.
  • Shane told JoJo she was safe.
  • Ian innocently told Danielle about Shane and JoJo flirting, then she told Janelle who didn’t like the idea of a power couple one bit, so that probably played a part in JoJo’s eviction.
  • JoJo ignored Britney’s advice, apparently, to keep her mouth shut and let her do the talking.
  • Britney tried to propose an alliance with Boogie to give him two more votes against Janelle’s team if they voted out Danielle.
  • Dr. Will gave his impressions of the game so far and predicted Ian would win.
  • Frank completely trusts Janelle’s team (famous last words).
  • JoJo’s pre-eviction speech had the sound of defeat, so she must have known it was coming.
  • The vote was 5 – 1, with Shane the only vote to evict Danielle.
  • The HOH competition required House Guests to slap a ball into a lane at the end of a hockey rink with a giant, unwieldy hockey stick, to score a point. Outside the lane was a zero. The points were: Ashely – 4, Joe – 3, Jenn – 0, Ian – 9, Wil – 2, Shane – 20, Danielle – 12. Shane wins HOH.

I want Jojo back in the game! They should allow her in, as it was a terrible idea for the coaches twist. It hurt lots of players. Here’s crossing my fingers for her to return. :)
