Bio: While CliqueClack is my first foray into the blogosphere, it’s just one stop along my long journey in writing. With my first book of short stories bounded via copy machine when I was still a lad, my evolution along the trajectory of writing has far exceeded that of my drawing; that first book was fronted by a rather pedestrian hand drawing of “Leatherhead”, of TMNT fame, and my ability hasn’t grown beyond rudimentary since those days. But the baby’s cute!

Army Wives – A season finale mostly worthy of the title

Just a few weeks ago, I absently wondered how the writers planned to dovetail a lot of aimless wandering into season-ending cliffhangers on Army Wives. Well, not only did they do so, but they managed to give each and every player a question for us to ponder over the hiatus. Well, almost. Roxy and Trevor […]

Curb Your Enthusiasm – Singers and shorts don’t mix

What a weird little world Larry David lives in. Yes, it’s largely designed to seem as small as it does, but to have something as asinine as a guy sitting in shorts on an airplane come full-circle for Larry as he’s running from an angry boyfriend…? I only hope Curb is heavier on fiction than fact, […]

Californication – Could Jill be the woman for Hank?

I’d say Hank’s about what I’d expect him to be as a teacher. Aside from the loving care he shows his students — one was so passionate about Hank’s feedback that he attempted to commit suicide last week — he draws naked doodles during staff meetings, makes crude jokes to the head of his department, and attempts […]

Pam and Jim’s wedding belly flops on The Office

We laughed; I think my wife cried. The Office threw a super-sized wedding party and we were all invited. I mean, who’s going to RSVP “No” to Pam and Jim’s wedding? Okay, so this wasn’t the television event of the year, but I’m sure it was pretty big for a lot of us. So then […]

The Practice virgin’s diary – Enough with the dead babies!

(Season 3, Episodes 9-12) Seriously, The Practice uses dead babies as their tiny violin. As well they should play like that, don’t get me wrong, but how much more can I take? Why not give us a good, mutilated, absolutely horrifying, fully grown adult murder victim for a change? Please? But hey … at least no […]

The Middle – No money down will come back to bite you in the butt

The Middle held up upon a second look, and Patricia Heaton is proving that she’s no one hit wonder — although, personally I learned that with Back to You, but whatever. It’s interesting how a simple thing like making ends meet can have the tentacles to touch so many funny stories on one episode. No money […]

NCIS – McGee and Agent Polygraph make a love connection

So, is Ziva back on the team? Did NCIS deal with the glaring hole in the story, that Ziva has yet to deal with the Mossad and her father? Are Ziva and Tony an item? Is McGee ever going to pen another novel, and will it appear in stores ala Hank Moody (Californication) and Richard Castle […]
