Bio: While CliqueClack is my first foray into the blogosphere, it’s just one stop along my long journey in writing. With my first book of short stories bounded via copy machine when I was still a lad, my evolution along the trajectory of writing has far exceeded that of my drawing; that first book was fronted by a rather pedestrian hand drawing of “Leatherhead”, of TMNT fame, and my ability hasn’t grown beyond rudimentary since those days. But the baby’s cute!

30 Rock continues its downward spiral

In their infinite wisdom, the powers that be here at CliqueClack have given me the opportunity (yet again) to air my grievances about 30 Rock. Somebody’s asleep at the wheel! And not only here; over at 30 Rock, as well. Bob’s recently been writing about the good run the show’s been on; permission to respectfully […]

How I Met Your Mother plays by the Rules of Engagement

Okay, so the pun made me phrase it this way. The truth is, it’s more like Rules of Engagement has stumbled upon the groove that How I Met Your Mother so comfortably resides in. Or, I could just be imagining things. Either way, I really like both of these shows, and, judging by the numbers, a […]

Greek does big brother and little brother

Interesting episode, with a lot of time paid to the aforementioned relationships, many of which will hopefully play a starring role in the series from here on out. But first to the rest: Dale was missing again. What the hell? Sure, Rusty mentioned him in passing as having seen Jesus’ face in a pile of lawn clippings, a plot which the […]

The Michael Scott Paper Company should have been the spin-off

Dear Greg Daniels, No! And I mean every syllable. What have you done? This time last year, you had us all salivating over rumors of a spin-off of The Office. My wife, a huge Toby Flenderson fan, only made it through Toby’s retirement party by imagining him helming his own series (not that it would […]

Has Lost lost its own playbook?

I’ve long feared dipping my toe into this water. I’m a far cry from real Lost fanatics, people who pick up on all of the clues and play the online adventures. I’m just a regular guy who watches the show at some point after it airs, and speed views each season in its entirety on […]

In Plain Sight has daddy issues

For all its faults (see my preview), the premiere of season two of In Plain Sight made its biggest mistake by asking us to care about something that’s simply not worth a second thought: Mary’s (Mary McCormack) missing father. For some reason, the absent parent is a popular theme these days. From Miles on Lost […]

The Celebrity Apprentice tanks an auction

I mentioned last week, when this task was introduced, that I was excited to see another Apprentice auction. I hastily take that back. This was no last year’s auction, under a big tent, with desirable goods, entertainment and liquor. This year’s auction was some crappy auctioneering of some ugly pieces of jewelry from the Ivanka […]
