It was a rather quiet week in the ratings as we made our way into July. The networks were par for the course and the big news on cable was the decided lack of viewers for Showtime’s ‘L-Word’ spinoff.
Cable takes the front seat this week with new sets from ‘The Closer’, ‘Eureka’, ‘Warehouse 13′, and ‘Ben 10′. You’ll also find classics, like ‘Scooby Doo’, ‘Mad About You’, ‘Leave It To Beaver’, and ‘Van Der Valk Mysteries’.
With summer officially starting, the week brought more premieres from ABC, and over on cable. The news was good for some (‘Rookie Blue’, ‘Futurama’, ‘Memphis Beat’), and not so good for others (‘Scoundrels’, ‘Boston Med’).
A short list this week includes ‘Entourage’ and ‘Hung’ from HBO, along with a new collectors edition ‘Airbender’ set. Fans looking for a little nostalgia can check out ‘Checkmate’, ‘Tom and Jerry’, ‘Swamp Thing’, and ‘Small Wonder’.
The NBA Finals again made for a banner week over at ABC. On cable, HBO execs can breathe a sigh of relief. The return of ‘True Blood’ means someone is watching again. And TV Land found success with their first original sitcom.
Ever wondered where all of those missed connections posts on craigslist come from? So did Melissa Center. Lucky for us, she’s now bringing them to life on ‘Missed Connections Live.’
Recent shows with sets this week include ‘Sanctuary’, ‘Family Guy’, ‘Secret Life’, ‘American Dad’, and ‘Hawthorne’. For classics, we have ‘My Three Sons’, Leave It To Beaver’, and ‘Lucy’.
