This week brings new sets for ‘Hell On Wheels’, ‘Victorious’, ‘Flashpoint’, ‘American Masters’, ‘Top Gear’, ‘Ken Burns’, ‘Hazel’, ‘Riverboat’, ‘Mayday’, ‘D Grayman’, ‘Cat Planet Cuties’, ‘Scooby-Doo’, ‘Dora The Explorer’, and ‘The Universe’.
As we head to the finish line for the season, more renewals are rolling in. CW has given golden tickets to ‘Vampire Diaries’, ‘Supernatural’, and ‘90210’, while HBO has tapped both ‘Veep’ and ‘Girls’ for second seasons.
A short week of releases includes ‘The Big C’, ‘Doctor Who’, ‘Chuck’, ‘Vega$’, ‘Fantasy Island’, ‘The Twilight Zone’, ‘Queens Blade 2′, ‘Classic Westerns’, ‘Elvira’s Movie Macabre’, and ‘BBQ Pitmasters’.
Last week brought a rare sighting to broadcast television, in the form of the lowest rated dramatic premiere ever. Amazingly, that was followed by a renewal for the lowest rated show on another network. Meanwhile, over on cable, the going was also slow for the latest from HBO.
This week features sets from ‘Covert Affairs’, ‘Suits’, ‘Masterpiece’, ‘Kojak’, ‘Wagon Train’, ‘The Virginian’, ‘Dick Van Dyke’, ‘Benson’, ‘Invisible Man’, ‘Ghost Story’, ‘Octopus’, ‘Transformers’, and ‘Peanuts’.
This spring continues to be a dark time for all of television, with lows hitting across the board. That didn’t bode well for the premiere of ‘NYC 22′ on CBS. Over on cable, HBO had their own struggles with the premiere of ‘Girls’.
