Bio: My time away from the TV is spent in an IT cave doing things that might seem interesting on the surface, but would likely bore you in detail. Along with those lofty pursuits, I'm a huge fan of Mr. Neal Stephenson, have a strange love for Canadian things, and am currently hammering out the tenets for a boob-based-religion. If you need to find me, try looking in one of Seattle's many theatres. This one is my current favorite.

Medium – Bank robbers and bombs

“New Terrain” was something of an odd episode, and not just because the episode title referenced Allison’s new car. The episode seemed to take a while to get up to speed. The dream about the girls in the car, and then the accident at the school, weren’t connected at all to the bank case, and […]

Supernatural – Sam and Dean Survive A Japanese Game Show

The powers that be down at Supernatural HQ had a little something up their sleeves with “Changing Channels.” Judging by the previews for the episode, and all that we’ve learned about the show over the years, this one had all the makings of a classic Supernatural romp. As we soon found out though, things were […]

Webisode Clack – Hurtling Through Space At An Alarming Rate

This week brings with it the premiere of another new web series, and it’s one that you kind of have to see to believe. It’s just so out there. Those of you that take your sci-fi comedy with two cubes of absurd will feel right at home. If you’ve worn worn out the grooves on […]

TV on DVD for November 3rd

It’s another slow week for DVD releases, with the only current show releasing a set being The Clone Wars. There are still a number of old, and not so old, shows that are worth a look. First among those for most people will probably be the complete series collection from The Shield. My personal pick […]

Venture Bros. – They’ve gone full Waco on us

Things keep moving along at a breakneck pace, and in a rather surprising way. If you had told me a month ago that episode two would be Brock free, and episode three would find him relegated to a silent cameo in the opening scene, I might have been a little worried. I certainly wouldn’t have […]

Castle – Here Kitty Kitty

After last week’s Halloween extravaganza, this week Castle took a turn for the musical with “Famous Last Words.” What it lacked in flashback costuming shenanigans, it made up for with a very clever plot that let the Castle family take the lead in the crime solving. Castle has always been helpful to Beckett and her […]

Ratings Clack – The Mentalist knocks off CSI

A combination of baseball and pre-sweeps repeats made for a bit of an odd week. Repeats don’t mean there aren’t numbers of note however. We had Jay Leno’s first shot against CSI: Miami and NY repeats, and a look at what running repeats on Friday does for FOX. That is, nothing good for Dollhouse season […]
