Bio: My time away from the TV is spent in an IT cave doing things that might seem interesting on the surface, but would likely bore you in detail. Along with those lofty pursuits, I'm a huge fan of Mr. Neal Stephenson, have a strange love for Canadian things, and am currently hammering out the tenets for a boob-based-religion. If you need to find me, try looking in one of Seattle's many theatres. This one is my current favorite.

Ratings Clack – Greg, Anthony, and Meredith rule

Holy smokes. After a summer without a lot of numbers to really be excited about, last week was just stuffed to the gills. There were season and series premieres everywhere, bringing in ratings that ran the gamut from outstanding to horrible. The big winners were House, NCIS, and Grey’s Anatomy. On the other end of […]

Medium – The more things change…

If ever there was a year for grand, sweeping changes on Medium, this is it. The show is back from the brink of cancellation, coming off of a big cliffhanger, and on an entirely new network. The possibilities, they are endless. All of that added up to me completely buying the idea that Allison could […]

Dollhouse – It’s better to burn out, than fade away

Dollhouse is in a bit of a weird place. To call the renewal a surprise would be an understatement. In his letter to critics, Whedon himself called it  “a hilariously unexpected non-cancellation.” That leads to a choice between two very different paths. Should the powers that be down at Dollhouse HQ try and reinvent the […]

Supernatural – Eat it, Twilight!

There are a lot of big questions in the Supernatural world right now.  Among those … is this whole thing about to go all Gilmore Girls on us? You know what I mean, right? When the powers that be in Stars Hollow decided to split up Rory and Lorelai, it all went to hell pretty […]

TV on DVD for September 22nd

There are so many shows premiering this week that no work is getting done down at the DVD factory. At least, that’s my theory. How else do you explain the shortened list of releases this week? Despite that, there are still a few big ones to take notice of: 30 Rock, Castle, The Mentalist, Terminator, […]

Ratings Clack – Heeere’s Jay Leno

After a summer of wondering what the result of NBC just giving up on the 10 PM hour would be, we now have our first look at the numbers. Jay Leno started with a bang (over 18 million viewers), and then quickly started the slow grind to reality. The week also saw the premieres of […]

Eureka – Will we ever see Tess again?

“So, the laws of physics are in peril, my daughter is moving out, and the world’s coming to an end?” We may not have had a big, multi-episode, mystery arc to conclude with the finale, but at least the stakes were at proper finale level. A polar shift threatening the whole of the planet? That’s […]
