Bio: My time away from the TV is spent in an IT cave doing things that might seem interesting on the surface, but would likely bore you in detail. Along with those lofty pursuits, I'm a huge fan of Mr. Neal Stephenson, have a strange love for Canadian things, and am currently hammering out the tenets for a boob-based-religion. If you need to find me, try looking in one of Seattle's many theatres. This one is my current favorite.

Ratings Clack – The Bachelorette goes out on top

The repetitive nature of the summer ratings have me so looking forward to the return of full schedules in the fall. Remember what that’s like? When CBS runs more than Big Brother, and The CW offers more than one burn-off episode of Easy Money. It was another week very much like so many of the […]

Eureka – Bite me, Kermit

Apparently it’s still too early in the season for us to get any real detail on just what “The Signal” is all about. Something is headed for Eureka, and plenty of folks seem to be all kinds of nervous about it, but that’s all we know. In that respect, we’re in the same boat as […]

Webisode Clack – The Captive and Funnel Of Darkness

I try to balance my choices for Webisode Clack between the extremes of harder to find independent shows and the well publicized network tie-ins. This week we have a double-shot featuring two very different shows, from Sundance and IFC, that fall somewhere in the middle. One of them, The Captive, is a sci-fi thriller. The […]

TV on DVD for July 28th – The Middleman!

Man, it’s a big week for DVD releases. I mean, really, who hasn’t been waiting for Charles In Charge Season 5 and that Knight Rider reboot? OK, maybe they’re not all blockbusters. But after that, the list is mighty impressive. You may find the shelves at your local DVD purveyor in danger of collapsing under […]

The Closer – Yeah, Stroh is coming back

The parade of fantastic guest stars just keeps marching along for The Closer. This week, none other than Tom Skerritt made a run through the major crimes division. Just landing Skerritt is a pretty big win, but when you can pair him with a really good role, then you have a winner. At first glance, […]

Ratings Clack – Summer TV is halfway over!

It’s that time of the year where it becomes painfully obvious just how lacking the summer television schedule is.  Hopefully, you’re getting some nice weather in the exchange. The good news is that the summer television season is now half over. We can now start counting down the weeks until the fall premieres. As for […]

Eureka – Section 5? I hate that section!

Continuing to motor along through season three, this week it was time for introductions to some new players, and the reintroduction of an old nemesis, Section 5. One of those players has something to do with the big mystery of the back half of the season. And the tiny little hint we got regarding that […]
