TV episode reviews and general clack about them.

White Collar – It’s all about the Burkes (and the Mitchells)

I love how we’re meant to suspend our disbelief at how easily people on TV can circumvent security protocols, particularly new ones. In real life, even Senators can get stuck at a checkpoint!

The River – Dolls. Creepy freakin’ dolls!

Now that you’ve seen the first pair of episodes of ABC’s ‘The River’, will the filming style will be too much to endure for the life of the series, or is the story good enough to keep you on?

Glee – Ricky Martin está muy caliente

Ricky Martin guests as a night school Spanish teacher who inspires Will, and Sue, Kurt and Santana get a few moments to shine courtesy of some terrific writing in this muy bueno episode.

NCIS – Faster than a speeding bullet

‘NCIS’ celebrated its 200th episode tonight with what could only be described as a giant stinker. Sure it was nice to see some old familiar faces, but talk about a terrible way to commemorate a milestone. Hopefully #201 will bring the quality back.

The Voice may drive me nuts

Californication – Spotting a tranny hooker from a mile away

I’ll admit I did not spot the tranny hooker even as he sat in the backseat next to Charlie, but I’d say Charlie’s first line of defense should have been to not try and trade on being a “detective” in exchange for free oral sex. Sounds kind of simple, no?

Hawaii Five-0 – Scott Caan polishes that awards shelf

This week’s ‘Hawaii Five-0′ was decidedly run-of-the-mill … but at least it should garner Scott Caan another award nomination.
