…the theme wasn’t necessarily about answering a bunch of mythological questions (In this case, who the mother is), but in growing the characters and putting them in a better place. For a fairly uneventful thirty minutes, “Doppelganger” was a surprisingly satisfying episode.
You see, it’s all about great characters, relationships — it’s not about the island at all. Oh, wait, wrong finale. But, while an island played no part in the episode, relationships and the characters most certainly did.

Ivey and I disagree on almost everything, including the ‘Bones’ season finale. As far as I’m concerned? It was character-building perfection.
I thought about pondering the ‘Lost’ finale a couple of days before expressing my opinion on it, but I quickly realized that it doesn’t deserve a deeper analysis than it was, itself, deep. Because it just wasn’t.
