My mind is reeling after this fast-paced episode of ‘The Vampire Diaries’. Once again, what I thought was going to happen didn’t … and we got a sudden and unexpected death instead.
This week’s ’30 Rock’ didn’t really do it for me. While the episode was sort of an inside joke about the show becoming stale, the episode ended up feeling a bit … stale. Go figure.

What starts out as a white lie on Penny’s part to avoid an annoying childhood friend (guest star Mary Elizabeth Ellis) snowballs out of control as the whole gang is caught up. Meanwhile, Max and Dave’s lonely, jealous landlord (guest star Ben Falcone), looks for ways to evict them – until he takes a shine to Alex.
Reading along with ‘A Clash of Kings’ and season two of ‘A Game of Thrones’ will be fairly challenging, but each week I’ll let you (as spoiler-free as possible) know how far ahead you will have needed to read to stay just ahead of the series.
