In the summer finale of ‘Switched At Birth’ Emmett deals with a difficult decision, an important character makes an appearance, and Daphne shows that she, too, can be competitive.

Sometimes it takes a man in a pair of red pumps to make us see the error of our ways. At least, it seems to have been the catalyst for Brenda finally realizing that she may have made some mistakes.

Each week I review a show that’s new to me. Good idea, or punishment (mine or yours)? You be the judge. But either way, if I had to watch it, the least you can do is read what I have to say….

Congratulations to Lloyd on being named interim head of the TV department. He’s earned it by sheer effort if you consider everything Ari’s put him through over the years … but how far has he grown beyond the days when he was just Johnny’s quasi representation?

Last week we were again reminded that a whole lot of people really like ‘Jersey Shore’. The show was easily the big winner for the week. On the broadcast networks, ‘The Bachelorette’ finale was good news for ABC.

From playing Darla on ‘Buffy’ to ‘A Gifted Man,’ Julie Benz has come far. But, at her heart she’s a working actor. I came away from the panel impressed with her working actor mentality.
