Blackadder: The complete series DVD review

Though many of the series, as well as Blackadder’s Christmas Carol, appear on your local PBS station, they come infrequently as stations rotate their never-ending supply of British comedies. With the DVD box set, they can watch the series, in any order, while enjoying a number of special features.

Diary of a Carnivale virgin – Who’s creepier: Brother Justin or hillbillies?

(Season 2, Episodes 2-3) Season two continues to march on, and Carnivale continues to be interesting and compelling. The relationship drama that had me a little bored toward the end of season one seems to have cooled off, but the character development remains, which is nice. Is sitcom quality limited by a finite amount of available humor?

Or, put another way, is there only so much funny out there in TV land that if another success story shows up, or something already on the air gets better, everything else is destined to get worse? Maybe it’s that as individual viewers we’re only allotted so much laughing in a week. I don’t know […]
