The big story for the broadcast networks was the horrible debut of ‘Skating With The Stars’ in the ‘Dancing With The Stars’ slot. Over on cable, ‘The Walking Dead’ hit series highs with the fifth episode.

There wasn’t a shred of light in this episode. Everything was dour. The DA’s office wouldn’t prosecute Charlotte’s attacker, Cooper hasn’t been handling Charlotte’s trauma well and Addison’s baby lust was again thwarted.
On cable, ‘Sarah Palin’s Alaska’ debuted to solid numbers for TLC, while TBS and TLC were not so lucky with ‘Glory Daze’ and ‘Pawn Queens’. Over on the networks, the big story was again the singing kids of ‘Glee’.
This episode seemed overloaded with scenes of people applying pressure to Charlotte King to ‘do the right thing,’ while Pete’s brother emotionally blackmailed him to help their dying, murderous mother.
Cable premieres lead the weekly ratings news, with the return of ‘Psych’ and ‘Burn Notice’. There was good news for ‘The Walking Dead’ as well. On the networks, are the numbers telling us that ‘Nikita’ is now in trouble?
After last week’s brutal episode about the assault of Charlotte King, this week’s installment was about assaults of the emotional variety: Charlotte’s seething anger, Addison’s guilt and Violet’s secret.
