Quotation Marks – Canadians, vegans, vampires, and Gordon Stoltski

I’ll take “people we got an earful from this week” for two hundred! I was going back and forth through the quotes submitted by our writers this week, and I couldn’t quite understand why the haul seemed so light. Then it dawned on me: ABC didn’t air its new Wednesday night comedy lineup this week. Can you […]

Saturday Night Live – January Jones/Black Eyed Peas

This episode only served to prove that last week’s episode really was one of the better of the season, if not the best so far. Tonight felt like we were getting the scrapings from the bottom of the writers’ barrel of material. I held out hope for something really remarkable to come out of it, […]

White Collar’s charming audacity

I’ll be the first person to admit and agree that television doesn’t need another buddy comedy. Especially another male buddy comedy. However, that hasn’t stopped me from watching and enjoying USA Network’s delicious new White Collar. Matt Bomer (Neal Caffrey) is so good looking, there should be a law against walking around with a face […]

Medium – Yes Joe, it really is one of ‘those’ dreams

I continue to be amazed by the way that not only Joe, but also Scanlon and Devalos, just dismiss Allison’s dreams on a regular basis. Have they not been paying attention for the last six years? You can, on occasion, look at that as being a little silly. But I’m going to give Joe a […]

Sanctuary – Chimp attack!!!

Tonight’s episode of Sanctuary appears to have borrowed its plot from a real-life tragedy: the February 2009 mauling of Charla Nash by a domesticated, 200-pound chimpanzee named Travis. The opening scene of “Fragments” does a great job of evoking the horror of this kind of attack, particularly because Henry hears it happening over the phone.

Stargate Universe – For a moment there, I thought they were in trouble

That’s more like it. “Time” certainly had its share of points you can quibble about, but it still managed to be my favorite episode of the young Stargate Universe season. Kicking things off with the crew exiting the stargate onto a jungle planet was a great start. We need a little more adventure here. Add […]

Showdown – Private Practice vs. Grey’s Anatomy

Who doesn’t love a good, old-fashioned showdown? Today we pit Private Practice against Grey’s Anatomy in an epic Battle of the Medical Soap Operas Sprung from Shonda Rhimes’ Dark and Twisty Mind. I’ll compare three aspects of the shows. Your votes will decide which one is better.

“Making a new friend sure ‘ain’t easy” on 30 Rock

Considering how I once felt about both of them, it’s surprising that I actually am enjoying the team of Tracy and Jenna. Actually, considering how Jenna once felt about Tracy, it’s surprising that they’re enjoying one another. But I suppose you do what you must when faced with a common enemy: a new star on […]

AMC’s The Prisoner reboot – CliqueClack giveaway

AMC’s remake/retelling/reboot (let’s call it a reboot) of The Prisoner series kicks off this coming Sunday night at 8 PM Eastern on AMC. Some of you who’ve followed this site may remember I did a Virgin Diary review of the original series a few months ago. Honestly, I didn’t get as wrapped up in the […]
