I detected some Jeff Bingham in the belittling of the WNBA players, like when one of the other New York boyfriends said to Timmy: “They’re elite athletes making thousands of dollars, playing in front of … hundreds of cheering fans.”
I’ve always thought it preferable for Jen and Adam not to get married, but I wonder if after all this time they might be stuck in a rut. Could their stories benefit from them becoming newlyweds?
Adam’s still dumb as dirt, but I loved what he said to Jen about why he was okay with all the killing in his World War II video game: “The Nazis were way out of line.”
The worst thing that ‘Rules of Engagement’ can do with Jeff and Audrey’s surrogate plot is to schedule Brenda’s pregnancy for over the summer. I really hope that’s not the direction they’re moving in.
It occurs to me that the characters on ‘Rules of Engagement’ do their best work at the diner. Any chance they could all pitch in and buy it, keeping them there permanently while also giving Audrey a job?
He may have been bringing them Christmas cheer, but you have to wonder what was going through Adam’s mind when he decided to honor those coupons. No one would have been surprised to learn that Russell was pulling a prank on him.
I’m still totally not getting this — Russell’s at least a vice president at his father’s company. So while he may no longer have his trust fund, isn’t he still pulling in a sizable salary every two weeks?
