In this episode of ‘Merlin,’ Arthur and Gwen once again try to convince us that they are deeply, truly in love. And once again, we’re totally over it.
‘Merlin’ has gone from light, frivolous episodes back to where it’s best — dark, plotty, and thought-provoking. As in, provoking actual thoughts, and not just about how pretty shirtless men are.
A sexy new knight comes to Camelot (again), some plots are thwarted (again), some lives are saved (again), some swords are crossed (again), and we here will break it down for you, Cliffs Notes style.
Enough of this darker, more dramatic episode nonsense — how about an episode of ‘Merlin’ where there are goblins and fart jokes? After all, what could possibly go wrong?
‘Merlin’ is back for a third season. And while the formula of suggestive bromance, magic, really pretty people, and an utter disregard for logic hasn’t changed, it’s never been so enjoyable.
