Flicks on DVD and Blu-ray – Hobos, Winnebagos, Samurai and Nazi vampires

What do Rutger Hauer, feudal samurai, the world's angriest man and some Nazi vampires have in common? They're all coming to home video this week along with some classic Disney titles (again) and some older films making their high-def debuts.

A Nazi vampire from "BloodRayne: The Third Reich"

It’s an off week for new home video releases with the holiday causing a bit of a slow-down in Hollywood, with new “theatrical” releases — and I use the term loosely since none of these movies saw a wide release at cineplexes across the country — consisting of a samurai film by Asian cult director Takeshi Miike; a sort-of grindhouse movie with Rutger Hauer; a documentary about what may have been the first viral video; and … well … another film by the notorious Uwe Boll.

Over on the catalog side of things, Disney has repackaged three animated classics (apparently removing the Digital Copy bonus), and some older films are making their high-def debuts. Feel free to peruse the handy guide below, and if you see something you like please click on the link which will re-direct you to Amazon.com.
