A lot of new movies are coming to home video this week … and most of them barely registered in theaters even with some big names attached. The biggest title of the week got an early digital debut on August 30th, and now you can own the hit heist thriller Now You See Me on DVD and Blu-ray. It’s a pretty terrific film. Also making its video debut is Rob Zombie’s latest horror flick The Lords of Salem. The film got a theatrical run in Europe but seems to have bypassed US cinemas. It may be notable to some cult movie fans for its casting of Patricia Quinn (The Rocky Horror Picture Show) as one of the film’s witches. The well-reviewed The Iceman, starring Man of Steel‘s Michael Shannon, is also released this week. Catalog titles getting the high-def treatment include Mystery Science Theater 3000: The Movie, The Fugitive, the Ace Ventura movies, and Mario Bava’s Bay of Blood. And Marvel fans can get an early digital release of Iron Man 3 before it comes to DVD and Blu-ray!
