We’re just about at the two-month mark since starting CliqueClack, and we’re pretty darned pleased with ourselves. We’re even more pleased with — and extremely thankful for — all of you, the readers, for visiting us day-in and day-out and leaving comments (and clicking all of our Amazon.com links, right? Right?) Without you, this site wouldn’t exist!
So, to show how thankful we are, each of us is giving away a different set of DVDs from the CliqueClack vault. All you need to do is leave a comment to this post by this coming Sunday, November 30 at 5:00 PM EST, telling us what you’re thankful for.
We’ll pick winning comments completely at random and alert the winners next week (we’ll have you pick which set you want at that time, from what’s available when you’re contacted). Only one entry per person and you must have a valid U.S.-based mailing address. Not following these guidelines voids your entry.

Exactly one year ago, my 37 year old son suddenly and without any previous medical problems or forewarning collapsed and went into cardiac arrest at the school where he teaches high school boys. Some boys immediately started CPR, and he was rushed to a nearby hospital and later medivac’d to another hospital. It took them 3/4 of an hour to get a pulse.
By the Grace of G-d, the doctors and nurses did the best they knew how, and 10 days later he woke up, and one month after he arrived, he went home.
Today, my husband and myself have much Thanks to the Almighty for every day of life, something we always somehow took for granted.

I was recently admitted to the hospital with an emergency appendectomy. It was Thanksgiving week, have 2 kids and husband. From the minute that friends heard I was and would be laid up for atleast a week, calls and e-mail kept coming in. We had 4 entire meals brought over to my home from friends and my kids were transported by everyone as my husband had to go to work. The hospital-nurses, staff, Doctors (lol…Surgeon: Dr. McDreamy! I tell ya), were amazing.

i’m thankful for having a home this year, so all of my family could eat under one roof.
I am VERY thankful that my husband just got a good job! He’s been laid off for several months and applied (along with over 500 others) for a single job. We feel like we hit the lottery, but we’re very scared for everyone we know who’s out of work. It’s rather bittersweet because there are so many people in the Detroit area out of work, which is why we’re also thankful Obama got elected. I believe he’s the change this country needs!

In 2006 I was out shopping when my back went out, I spent the next year laying in bed unable to get out. That really puts you in your place and makes you see things just a little differently. I am thankful for so many more things in my life than I ever even thought about before.
We are struggling right now with millions of others in this economy but each night I am able to put together a dinner, something I know others are not, so I am thankful for that. We are headed into some really hard times ahead, I wish comfort for all.
Happy Holidays, remember it is not what you give in material, but what you give yourself. Just spend time with those you love because after the material items break or get old you will still have the memories of the laughter you shared when you were with them. Love your friends and family.
