Venture Bros. season 4 trailer – You don’t want it, you need it

venture_trailer

Those that were fortunate enough to witness the premiere of the Venture Bros. season 4 trailer at Comic-Con are probably still reeling from the impact. Home viewers, the trailer is finally online, and you have the benefit of seeing it on a small screen, lessening the chances of overdosing on awesome. Plus, there’s been some exciting news from the creators, Jackson Publick and Doc Hammer.

Honestly, when I wasn’t laughing, I was watching with my hands over my mouth in mid-gasp. I mean, holy crap. Translucent dragon wings that are actually translucent!?  If you look at the first season (or, if you dare, the Flash-tastic pilot), the amount of development is incredible.

Seeing 21 again was marvelous, as was that split second of Brock. More father-son stuff between Doc and Dean is a worrying prospect, though I suspect the stuff between Dermott and the newly shaggy-haired Hank is probably scarier. I was also thrilled to see Billy and White partying it up in their trailer/HQ and, of course, Bowie.

Last season of the show left the viewers with an incredible number of uncertainties, including how 21 will carry on without his beloved 24, how the Venture family will deal with their new Brock-less life, and who has the best legs between Jackson Publick, Doc Hammer, James Urbaniak and Mike Sinterniklaas. Some of these questions and awkward requests were addressed when the guys went to Comic-Con.

Bonus news, ladies and gents. Stephen Colbert may have dropped his role as Professor Impossible after season 2, but there’s new talent to take it on. Saturday Night Live player Bill Hader will play Impossible from now on.

Pick your jaw up from the floor, you look ridiculous.
