Entourage – Turtle a millionaire?

I think I might be more afraid of former NFL-er Michael Strahan on the basketball court -- at 6’5” and 275 pounds -- than of Amare Stoudemire, the six time NBA All-Star. Strahan was a defensive end … what would you say?

There’s just one episode of Entourage left and … any guesses where any/all of the gang will end up?

At this point Vince is likely to end up with Sophia. I can’t imagine they’d carry his possessed courting of her into the series finale without pairing them up. However, while his documentary of women he’s dated was a creative idea, it was also really pathetic. His desperation alone should have been enough to turn her off, while Turtle’s conversation with her could have sealed the deal for Vince all by itself.

I’m not sure if Ari’s destined to patch things up with Mrs. Ari, or if he and Dana will be together in the end. I will say this: Ari and Dana are eerily fantastic together. We’ve never seen him click with his wife the way he’s clicked with Dana (on a personal level) these last few episodes. While Dana’s probably correct in saying that there’s something Ari hasn’t given to his wife, I wonder if that’s because he never felt compelled to offer it to her; that is, in last night’s episode he was, toward Dana, exactly the type of guy Mrs. Ari would be likely to love. Maybe it only comes out with the right person….

Eric will end up with Sloan. No way has he chased her from season to season, and apparently impregnated her, only to end up single. Will he go with her to New York, or will he convince her to stay? We’ll see. But I will say this: if she could pick her family over him — as she said she would — she doesn’t love him. Riches shouldn’t beat out the man that she chooses to build a life with.

I was paying very close attention to hear if Johnny had actually gotten his show back. It wasn’t until Phil confirmed it that I was sure, and it really disappointed me. I don’t wish him failure, but Drama’s move, particularly against Phil, should have come with repercussions. Instead he gets his show back with the costar he wanted, more money, and — with a $100 thousand donation to German Shepherds from Vince — a movie of the week that might just be a success. On the flip side, Phil hates him now, so if the show still had some life left it could be fun to watch Drama be made miserable on-set all over again.

I’m really disliking the DeLucas (Sonny Marinelli and Elizabeth Regen). Their admitting to wanting a free trip to Hollywood and some star sightings came as no surprise, but their insistence that Turtle explode his budget without even seeing if his choice of location was a good fit? There have been about ninety-six things that should have screamed to Turtle, “Run!” Too bad he hasn’t been listening. Will his eyes be opened now?

I enjoyed how his need for additional capital gave a ton of famous faces the chance to sneak on the show before it ends. I’m not sure about Mark Teixeira’s scene — no matter what private school for three costs, he can afford an extra quarter of a million dollars — but Alex Rodriguez definitely looked like he got a cell phone shoved in his hand during batting practice before a game; wasn’t that a mini Steinbrenner in the background?

It’s funny to think that Amare Stoudemire and Michael Strahan may play pick-up basketball games together; Stoudemire the unfulfilled Knicks’ savior, and Strahan the former Giant who still lives in the New York area. With both the NFL and NBA seasons up in the air when this taped — Strahan is a Fox NFL Sunday analyst — what else do they have to do?

I totally wasn’t surprised that Vince hadn’t sold the Avion stock, although I figured it would have been due to him forgetting to call Marvin. Instead, it shocks me that in today’s market a Tequila company went public. But it really says a lot about Vince that he’d let Turtle keep the profits on his stock … I much prefer this Vince to last season’s.

What do you think we have in store for us as Entourage says goodbye?

So here was my thought process while watching this episode:
Ari needs $11 million.
Vince just made $15 million.
Vince says he thinks of Ari as family.
Vince takes care of his family.
Vince will help Ari out of his jam.
Ari will not be able to reconcile with his wife.
Ari will realize (hopefully) that Dana makes him happy.

I think we can turn all of the tough times of the last two seasons into a happy ending for all of the characters… except Eric. He has made some really poor decisions, and been more of tool than usual lately, and doesn’t deserve to get back together with Sloan. Johnny Drama’s career sees a resurgence thanks to a successful TV show and TV movie, Turtle manages DeLuca’s to success, Ari maintains control of his business and realizes that he’s ultimately married to it, and Vince stays off drugs and keeps living the dream. That’s how I see this wonderful show ending – it’s been a roller coaster, but I really want to see them go out on top.

Amen.

And the move by Vince to not sell the stock was definitely no accident, as he mentioned he bought all of Turtle’s stock as well.

I think I made the same connection with Vince, but I also wonder if Dana might not have money like that. Wouldn’t it be weird for a client of the agency to also technically own a large chunk of it?

I think Eric gets killed by Sloan’s father.
I hate what they did to Vince last season… he was too good of a person to get caught up with that horrible woman and drugs… what a shame. Ari will land on his feet, so will Turtle. Drama … well he will probably be kicked off the show… stupid stupid man period.

I loved this show….too bad they ruined the whole buddy theme.
