Win passes to see Finding Vivian Maier in Washington, DC

Finding Vivian Maier

Vivian Maier was a prolific photographer no one had ever heard of until recently, and now her story is being told in the new documentary ‘Finding Vivian Maier.’ Find out how you can get tickets to an advance screening in DC.

CliqueClack has partnered with Sundance Selects, Ravine Pictures and Allied Integrated Marketing to offer readers in the DC area an opportunity to attend an advance screening of the new documentary Finding Vivian Maier. Who is Vivian Maier? Now considered one of the 20th century’s greatest street photographers, Vivian Maier was a mysterious nanny who secretly took over 100,000 photographs that went unseen during her lifetime. Since buying her work by chance at auction, amateur historian John Maloof has crusaded to put this prolific photographer in the history books. Maier’s strange and riveting life and art are revealed through never-before-seen photographs, films, and interviews with dozens who thought they knew her.

The screening will take place on Tuesday, April 22, 7:30 PM at Landmark E Street Cinema in Washington, DC.

A limited number of passes are available on a first come, first served basis. Simply comment on this post and we will send your Admit Two pass by email. Please make sure you have entered your email address correctly! As passes are limited, we will accept one comment per person/per email address/per household (this is not a random drawing so if you’re a couple, only one of you need comment!). CliqueClack reserves the right to discard any duplicates or comments that appear to be duplicates. Multiple comments from a single person will result in complete disqualification. Please keep these offers fair for everyone.

This offer will be valid until all passes have been awarded or on the day of the screening, whichever comes first. Have a look at the trailer below and then tell us why you want to see the film. 1. I was a photographer in Europe back in the late 50s and ear 60s. Her work documents an earlier time that is lost today.

  2. It’d be great to get a couple of passes!

  3. This looks like a terrific movie! I would love to see it.

  4. I have been waiting for this movie to come here for months. It documents an era in which I grew up and she is such an enigma. The pictures are like time capsules. I would appreciate a pass for two if there are any left.

  7. I am a photographer and videographer and have just discovered Vivian Mair. Her gift and talent are only found in rare instances. I feel as
if I have just broken through the waters surface and can now breathe.

Please send two tickets if possible.
