Flaming Schwarzkopf Experience will extract your ambient gene
Strictly a studio project, Douglas Arthur’s ‘FSE’ has vision, depth and song textures that will seduce and entice you.
Michael: You mentioned above you draw comics?
Douglas: Yes! I drew a weekly comic strip called “Tales from The Dougside” between 1992 and 1998 when I lived in Buffalo. I gave that up just before I left town, but I continue to draw to amuse myself, mostly, though I recently finished a 7 page story for my idol Robert Fripp! He loved it! On the comics front I self-published 4 book collections as well between 1995 and 1997. I am looking to reprint these for Tales from the Dougside’s 25th anniversary next February.
Michael: Plus, I happen to know you are involved in, shall we say, “other extra-curricular activities” …
Douglas: I also record a podcast about once a month called Assault Of The 2-Headed Space Mules which explores the fringes of pop culture and the attic of my youth.
Michael: Yes, I know … because I’ve been privileged to have been involved with a few of those podcasts, wading through some of those cobwebs along with you.
Douglas: Indeed! The podcast is a lot of fun because we get to chat about some great topics, like superhero movies, Godzilla, Kolchak, John Carpenter, Monty Python and I’m currently editing down our epic 3 hour chat about Devo!
